About me
I have long had a fascination with the lives and stories of my ancestors, many of whom were enslaved African people. My mother taught me about the legacy of enslavement and resistance. To me, the two have always gone together. My mother taught me about heroes and sheroes including Sojourner Truth, Toussaint L’Ouverture, and in particular Harriet Tubman, who has been a lifelong inspiration for me because she risked her life many times in order to liberate her people.

I have always been proud of my ancestors because they were survivors.

My mother also gave me so-called slave narratives to read, and I celebrate the fact that the enslaved African people managed to record their stories any way they could.

I have had many poems and short stories published, along with Sojourn, an anthology of writings about Black mother/daughter relationships, sisterhood and friendships among Black women in Britain.

I have recently published the first book in the series Black Success Stories. You can order Black Success Stories from www.blacksuccess1.com

I have studied the lives and work of many successful people of African heritage, and this inspires my own work.

I have written Success Strategies for Black People and Black Success Stories as part of my ongoing commitment to global prosperity and global peace.
